What is the difference between PPF and vinyl wraps?
PPF is typically 8-10 mils thick and requires significant stretching and working to apply without the adhesive drying underneath. Vinyl wraps are about 3-4 mils thick, can stretch more, and are easier to reapply.
Should I apply PPF before or after ceramic coating?
It’s recommended to apply PPF before ceramic coating. Applying PPF over a ceramic-coated surface may result in adhesion issues.
How long should I wait after purchasing a new car before applying PPF?
If you want maximum protection it would be best to do it ASAP upon collection similar to other paint protection options such as ceramic coating.
Will PPF affect the functionality of sensors or radar units on my vehicle?
Properly applied PPF should not interfere with sensors or radar units. It’s essential to choose an experienced installer familiar with your vehicle’s specifications.
Is it necessary to polish my car before applying a ceramic coating?
While not mandatory, polishing is recommended to enhance gloss and ensure the PPF bonds effectively.
